…Saturdays are good for things like sharing a treasured cup of coffee with my wife, lounging with our beloved dog, hitting the gym at a leisured pace, and watching my dear Yellow Jackets on television. The simpler yet finer things in life are the most profound. I love my days off because they not only allow me to recognize what matters but they also allow me to appreciate that I don’t need to strive toward those things that do NOT matter.
So Sarah and I are really enjoying where we are these days. We feel very blessed to be serving where we serve. We’re learning to set reasonable boundaries around our life together amid the typical grinds of life as pastors…and we’re understanding that our place is in Christ alone.
I am grateful to God for all things. I am learning so much about what it means to be a pastor in these days. Perhaps the most significant lesson that I’m learning is that I need ministry too…OR maybe that I am nothing without God. He is stretching me daily!
